Blues Find a Balance with McDonald
The following article featuring former Colgate standout Andy McDonald appeared in the November 26 issue of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Andy McDonald, 5 feet 10 and 180 pounds, is what some would consider a pure ice hockey center. He is fleet, compact, elusive and smart with the puck.
David Backes, 6-3, 220 pounds, is what you would draw to illustrate a rugged right winger. He is powerful and determined, bombastic in the corners, obstructive at the net, no stranger to rough stuff. There is lots of substance, a little bit of style.
You might think these two players would fit well together on the same line for the Blues. And in fact they do, with one small addendum: McDonald is at wing, Backes is at center.
