Grizzlies Net Fredricks
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley today announced that the team has signed former Colgate defenseman Jason Fredricks, whom they claimed off of waivers Sunday from Idaho.
Fredricks played against Utah Friday night in Boise and recorded a late empty-net goal for the Steelheads. The six-foot-two Wisconsin native played 23 games last year with South Carolina totaling one goal and nine assists for 10 points in 23 games. He played five games in the AHL with the Providence Bruins after completing college at Colgate University in 2008-2009.
