Predators Call Dekanich
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville
Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David
Poile announced today that the club has recalled former Colgate
goaltender Mark Dekanich from Milwaukee (AHL).
Dekanich, 24 (5/10/86), was one of the final two players assigned
to the Admirals during 2010 Training Camp. Appearing in each of
Milwaukee’s first two games of 2010-11 this weekend, the
North Vancouver, B.C., native posted a 1-0-0 record with a 1.22
goals-against average and a .951 save percentage. Selected 146th
overall (fifth round) in the 2006 Entry Draft, Dekanich went 0-1-0
with a 2.11 goals-against average in two preseason games for
Nashville. In 2009-10, he ranked fifth among AHL goaltenders in
goals-against average (2.33), tied for fifth in shutouts (4) and
tied for eighth in wins (27).
The Predators continue their 2010-11 campaign when they head to
Chicago on Wednesday to take on the defending Stanley Cup Champion
Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. CT.
