Colgate's Annual Toy Drive Set for Saturday

HAMILTON, N.Y. (12/10/10) – The Colgate men's hockey team will be hosting its annual toy drive for the Interfaith Holiday Council this Saturday night as the Raiders take on Niagara at Starr Rink at 7 p.m.

Fans are asked to bring unwrapped toys prior to the game on Saturday in the lobby of Reid Athletic Center. The items will then be dispersed to the families within Madison County. Fans will once again receive a free general admission ticket for each unwrapped toy donated.

The hockey team is proud to partner with the Interfaith Holiday Council once again and the Raiders are excited to give back to the community.

"It's great to get a chance to give back to the community for all that they do for our school and the hockey program,” said assistant captain Kevin McNamara. “We can't thank them enough for their support and we can only hope that the toy drive will help some families during the holidays."

With the holiday season approaching, Colgate Athletics also has a deal for you or a great gift idea to give to your friends and family.

For a very low price, get the chance to watch the men's ice hockey team in action for three (3) games in the month of January as part of the Holiday Hat Trick promotion. The games will include Central New York and ECAC Hockey foes Union (1/14) and RPI (1/15), and the annual showdown with our rivals the Cornell Big Red on Friday, January 21. This weekend will be the first chance for fans to get tickets for the rivalry game against the Big Red.

The price for this exciting package is $30 for reserved seating and $15 for general seating. This is $5 off the original price of the package, as well as over 25% off the single-game ticket prices. Also this is an earlier chance to get great seats to the home Cornell before it is opened to the general public.
