Wilson Stating Case with Blue Jackets

The following article featuring former Colgate standout Kyle Wilson appeared in the November 8 issue of the Columbus Post-Dispatch.

Blue Jackets forward Kyle Wilson has been living in a downtown Columbus hotel with his wife, Ashley, and their 1-year-old boxer, Gus, since the start of training camp.

"It's a good spot," Wilson said. "I can walk to (Nationwide Arena) for practice and games, and I can run the dog over to the river for a walk."

But Wilson is ready for a more permanent home, some place with a family room and a backyard instead of a front desk and a lobby. And the way the 25-year-old has played for the Blue Jackets, he might not have to wait much longer before a return to the minor leagues is no longer an option.
