Vote for McIntyre for Frozen Four Skills Challenge

HAMILTON, N.Y. - David McIntyre (Pefferlaw, Ont.) is a preliminary selection to participate in the 2010 Frozen Four Skills Challenge, April 9 at Ford Field in Detroit.

The senior, a 2009 ECAC Hockey first team all-league honoree, a Hobey Baker Memorial Award finalist as well as a first team AHCA/Reebok Men's East University Division I honoree, ranks 18th in the country in assists per game (0.79) and is tied for 33rd nationally in scoring (1.12 ppg).  McIntyre, who enters this weekend with eight goals and 19 assists in 24 outings, ranks 29th all-time on the Colgate scoring list with 119 career points.

McIntyre is competing with 16 other skaters to represent the East team.  Last year, Colgate's Sam Hunt was named the top female performer at the same event in Washington D.C.

Fans will have a say in who competes in this year's Skills Challenge.  Colgate fans can receive additional event information as well as vote for McIntyre by going to www.ncaa.com/frozenfourskillschallenge/index.html.  Just go to the link marked Men's East and select six skaters and two goalies.  Balloting ends February 15.
