McIntyre Named First-Team All-CHN
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Colgate’s David McIntyre (Pefferlaw,
Ont.) was among six first team members on the all-College Hockey
News teams, it was recently announced.
McIntyre, a first team all-ECAC Hockey honoree and one of ten
finalists for the 2009 Hobey Baker Memorial Award, was joined on
the first team by forwards Ryan Stoa (Minnesota) and Viktor
Stalberg (Vermont), defensemen Matt Gilroy (Boston U) and Ian Cole
(Notre Dame), and goalie Brad Thiessen (Northeastern).
The junior posted the highest single-season point total at Colgate
since Andy McDonald in 1999-2000. In 37 games, McIntyre collected
21 goals and 22 assists. His 13 goals in league games only led ECAC
Hockey and his 43 points ranked third among league players. His
1.16 point per game average currently ranks 15th in the country,
while his 0.57 goals per game average is tied for 13th
nationally.
McIntyre had a major impact in Colgate’s six overtime
victories with two goals and three assists in the extra sessions.
