Having spent the last three off seasons with the Dallas Stars
prospects after his college season ended, David McIntyre got
acquainted with the potential future of the New Jersey Devils at
rookie camp held in Newark, N.J.
McIntyre, 22, currently starring for Colgate University, had the
likes of Stanley Cup winners Scott Stevens, Sergei Brylin and
recently appointed Lowell (AHL) Head Coach John MacLean teaching
him and future teammates the ins-and-outs of hockey, life and what
it takes to be a New Jersey Devil.
“A lot of what I did at Devils’ camp is pretty similar
to what I did with Dallas,” McIntyre explained. “We got
acquainted with each other and the organization. They taught us the
small skills that will help you grow as a player and a
person.”
