HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Colgate University senior goaltender Mark
Dekanich (North Vancouver, B.C.) is featured in the latest edition
of the Lowe's Senior CLASS Newsletter, which highlights candidates
for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
Dekanich is one of 20 candidates for the award, which recognizes
achievement in the areas of character, classroom, community, and
competition. Dekanich is featured under the heading of
"competition" in the newsletter, which praises the netminder's
performance in Colgate's last three games.
The list of 20 candidates, which includes eight league
standouts, will be narrowed to a field of 10 on February 14,
when a fan voting portion of the selection process begins. The
winner of the award will be announced at the 2008 Frozen Four in
