OMAHA, Neb. -- Setbacks had almost become
commonplace for Dustin Jackson in recent years.
The former Omahan was cut from his Minnesota high school team, saw
his juniors squad disband and watched his teammates and friends
move on to college programs while he stood still.
Through it all, he persevered and is now a 21-year-old freshman
forward for the University of Denver. He has played in 20 of the
Pioneers' 24 games and has one goal and three assists for the No.
4-ranked team in college hockey.
