McIntyre Honored by INCH
HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Colgate sophomore forward David McIntyre, who
netted the Raiders' series-clinching double-overtime goal at
Clarkson Sunday, has been named the Inside College Hockey
(INCH) National Player of the Week, the website announced.
McIntyre was part of five of the Raiders' seven goals in their
back-to-back victories, including four goals. He netted the
game-winning goal in each contest, including scoring 7:36 into the
second overtime of the decisive third game to give Colgate a berth
in the 2008 Bank of America ECAC Hockey Championship in Albany.
On Saturday, with Colgate facing elimination after losing the first
game of the series, McIntyre scored twice and added an assist. He
banged home a loose puck at the edge of the crease for the
game-winner early in the third period. The next night, he scored a
power-play goal that gave Colgate a 2-1 lead before adding the
double-OT winner.
McIntyre and the Raiders take on No. 15 Princeton on Friday, Mar.
21, in the 2008 Bank of America ECAC Hockey Championship semifinals
at the Times Union Center in Albany. The game is scheduled to begin
at 4:00 p.m. No. 16 Harvard plays No. 20 Cornell in the second
