Clarkson Mourns Passing of Armstrong
Clarkson is mourning the loss of former standout Bob Armstrong ’84, who passed away at the age of 50 on January 28, 2012.
Armstrong, who resided in Clarence Center, New York, appeared in 136 games for the Golden Knights from 1980-84, recording 74 points on 23 goals and 51 assists.
Armstrong’s best campaign was his senior season when he scored nine goals and set up 20 goals in 34 contests. His performance earned him first-team all-ECAC Hockey and first-team All-America honors. Clarkson finished the campaign with a record of 21-11-2 overall and 14-6 in league play.
