BCHL Names Mitchell Among All-Time Best

Former Clarkson standout Willie Mitchell, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), has been named among the Top 50 Players all-time in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). 

The BCHL polled its fans, and after thousands of votes, according to BCHL.ca, the top 50 players in the league's history was generated. Included in the list are the top 10 players from each decade. 

A native of Port McNeill, British Columbia, Mitchell is among the top 10 players selected from the 1990s.

Mitchell spent one season in the BCHL, competing with the Kelowna Spartans in 1994-95. In 42 games with the Spartans, he amassed 11 points.

In 1997, Mitchell joined Clarkson, and preceded to guide the Golden Knights to  the ECAC Hockey Championship title in 1999, while also earning playoff Most Outstanding Player and ECAC Hockey First-Team All-Star honors. 

Mitchell currently plays with the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL).
