DeFazio Scores Contract with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
Penguins have signed former Clarkson forward Brandon DeFazio to an
American Hockey League contract, it was announced on Wednesday.
DeFazio, 22, made his professional debut last season, going
scoreless and even in two games with the Penguins. He also
appeared in ten regular-season games with the Wheeling Nailers
(ECHL), registering nine points (4+5) and a plus-5 rating.
The 6-1, 200-lb. native of Oakville, Ontario also added six points
(4+2) in the Nailers’ run to the Eastern Conference
Finals.
Prior to turning pro last year, DeFazio finished a four-year
college career at Clarkson (ECAC) and posted a total of 77 points
(36+41) in 141 games.
