Borowiecki Feels Right at Home

KANATA, Ontario -- The Ottawa Senators' top 2011 draft pick stole the show Wednesday night at Scotiabank Place with a rifling one-timer that earned his team a 2-1 overtime win against the Boston Bruins in their second preseason game.

But even though the focus was on Mika Zibanejad as the night came to a close, hometown boy Mark Borowiecki continued to turn heads with a strong showing in his National Hockey League debut.

"I think Kanata should be pretty proud of him tonight," said Senators coach Paul MacLean, who noted Borowiecki as one of his top players in the victory. "I know my older brother (Jerome MacLean) is going to be pretty happy with him -- he coached him in bantam or something, he told me. I think he acclimated himself quite well.
