Drafted in 1998 by the Chicago Blackhawks, Kent Huskins waited eight long seasons before playing in the NHL. But when he finally broke in with Anaheim during the 2006-07 season, it was well worth the wait.

On a team that featured Blues center Andy McDonald, Huskins won a Stanley Cup with the Ducks, registering a +1 plus-minus rating in 21 playoff games that season.

Huskins, now 32, played parts of three seasons in Anaheim before being traded to San Jose in 2009. The move was good for his career, as Huskins went to the Western Conference finals the past two seasons with the Sharks. An upper-body injury limited him to playing in only the last five playoff games with the Sharks last season, but the stay-at-home defenseman jumped into the lineup and played well according to observers.
