Scuderi Enters Coaching Ranks

Ken Scuderi, a former Division I and professional hockey player, has been hired as an assistant coach with the Hamilton College men's ice hockey program.
Scuderi joins a program that captured first place in the New
England Small College Athletic Conference at the end of the 2010-11
regular season. He joins a staff led by first-year head
coach Rob Haberbusch. This is his first coaching job at the
collegiate level.
Scuderi was a four-year letter winner for Clarkson University's
Division I program from 2001 to 2005, and played professional
hockey for four seasons in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) and
American Hockey League (AHL) from 2005 to 2009. Prior to his
arrival at Clarkson, Scuderi played three seasons in the U.S.
Hockey League for the Dubuque Fighting Saints and the Lincoln
Stars.
Scuderi collected 24 points in 133 career games as a defenseman at
Clarkson. In 2003-04, he led the Golden Knights in plus/minus, and
helped the team reach the finals of the Eastern College Athletic
Conference Hockey League championship. He served as an assistant
captain and received the program's Mike Morrison Coaches Award for
teamwork and dedication as a senior.
The highlight of Scuderi's pro career came in 2006 when he was
signed by the Anaheim Ducks and played in their minor league system
that season. During 2006-07, Scuderi recorded 27 points with
Augusta of the ECHL, while the parent club went on to capture the
Stanley Cup. He was appointed assistant captain for the Lynx the
following season. Scuderi played for the Portland Pirates of the
AHL in 2006. He finished his playing career with New York Rangers
affiliate the Charlotte Checkers in 2009.
Scuderi graduated from Clarkson in 2005 with a bachelor's degree
in interdisciplinary social sciences and a minor in business.
