Marks Moves to Elmira
The Elmira Jackals announced Wednesday that they have signed former Clarkson standout Tim Marks to a standard player contract for the 2011-2012 season.
Marks, a 6'2", 217-pound left wing, skated his first full professional season in 2010-2011 with the AHL's Norfolk Admirals, notching four goals and an assist in 45 games along with 67 penalty minutes. He also spent time with the Admirals after completing his four-year collegiate career at the end of the 2009-2010 season, contributing three assists in 14 games.
The Brownville, N.Y. product played four seasons as an amateur at Clarkson, compiling 14 goals and 22 assists for 36 points along with 164 penalty minutes in 141 career games with the Golden Knights.
"Tim is a physical power forward who has good size and will provide a strong presence up front for us," Jackals coach Pat Bingham said. "He has the ability to create space for himself and for his teammates."
