Borowiecki Aims to Reward Sens' Faith

OSHAWA, Ont. — Few things delight an NHL general manager more than finding a bona fide prospect in the late rounds of the entry draft.
Over the years, the Ottawa Senators have done just that, landing players such as Daniel Alfredsson in the sixth round in 1994, Sami Salo in the ninth round in 1996 and Colin Greening in the seventh round in 2005.
They’re now thinking they got lucky again when they picked Mark Borowiecki in the fifth round of the 2008 draft, when the event was held at Scotiabank Place in his hometown of Kanata, Ont.
