Pizzo Steadies Knights' Defense

POTSDAM — His stats won't wow you, but Clarkson senior defenseman Tom Pizzo may be playing as well as anyone on the squad as the Golden Knights prepare to host Harvard University in a best-of-three ECAC Hockey first-round series starting at 7 tonight at Cheel Arena.
Pizzo, a Rochester native, has not always been a regular in the lineup this season. He missed six games with an injury in the first semester and was not selected to dress in six other games.
But when the Golden Knights had some injury problems last month, coach George Roll put Pizzo back in the lineup, and he has played so well that even when the injured players returned, he kept his spot.
