Faulkner Trades Alleghe for Ritten/Renon
Ritten/Renon (Italy) announced Thursday the signing
of former Clarkson standout Mac Faulkner to a contract for the
2011-12 season. Faulkner spent the past two season with HC
Alleghe (Italy).
A native of King City, Ontario, Faulkner played in 80 games with
HC Alleghe over the course of the past two seasons, amassing 57
goals and 48 assists. He led the team in scoring both seasons,
compiling 49 points on the strength of 26 goals in 2009-10, and 31
goals and 25 assists for 56 points in 2010-11.
Prior to joining HC Alleghe, Faulkner competed with Reading and
Cincinnati of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). He participated
in 72 regular-season contests in 2008-09, amassing 20 goals and 25
assists. He played 60 games with Reading, netting 17 goals and 20
assists. Faulkner, who joined Cincinnati late in the 2008-09
campaign, played in 15 playoff games with the Cyclones,
contributing four goals and five assists.
Faulkner donned the Golden Knights jersey from 2001 through 2005.
He registered 33 goals and 50 assists in 141 collegiate contests.
His most productive offensive campaign came in 2003-04 as he
amassed 43 points, including 17 goals, in 43 contests.
