The long-awaited milestone is right around the corner.
Calgary Flames pivot Craig Conroy, according to the decider, will suit up Thursday for his 1,000th game in the National Hockey League, a home date against the Colorado Avalanche.
"Hey, Connie's done his job for us," stated coach Brent Sutter. "How he's playing . . . is what I expect out of Connie. His role is his role, and he's accepted it. He's playing within it.
