Willie Mitchell's recovery from a concussion took a step back
this week and for the first time the Canucks are worried the
defenceman might be finished for the season.
"To tell you the truth, I'm real concerned [about Mitchell's
health]," coach Alain Vigneault said Thursday afternoon after the
Canucks practiced at Burnaby 8-Rinks. "I don't want to presume that
the season might be in jeopardy, but obviously we're concerned
about that."
Mitchell was hit from behind into the glass by Pittsburgh's Evginy
Malkin on Jan. 16 at GM Place and he hasn't worked out, let alone
skate, since.
