Everyone always seems to want more from Matt Syroczynski, but what he produced this year was pretty amazing.

Despite playing only 60 games with the Komets, the 6-foot-5, 225-pound power forward scored 41 goals in 60 games, including 11 in 12 playoff games, to be named the Turner Cup Finals Most Valuable Player. Syroczynski, 26, scored six goals and eight points in the finals and had 16 points overall in the playoffs.

“He's a big unit,” center Colin Chaulk said. “That's what I call him, ‘The Big Unit.' He knows his role. He gives me the puck and goes to the net. He parks that big butt of his in front of the net, and he jams away.”
