POTSDAM — The 2010-11 season is only nine games old, but there are indications that Clarkson's freshman class could be the best the program has seen since the 2004-05 season.
The rookies lead the team in scoring so far this season, producing nine goals and 16 assists in the first nine games, and account for 37 percent of the team's scoring.
Clarkson hockey fans may recall the last freshman class to have as impressive of a debut was the rookie class in 2004-05, which provided 32 goals and 59 assists and accounted for 38 percent of that team's scoring.
