Tired of living in a hotel room with a roommate and getting limited
ice time, Matt Syroczynski asked the Norfolk Admirals last week to
either sign him for the rest of the season or release him so he
could come back to Fort Wayne.
Monday night, Syroczynski got off a plane in Fort Wayne, putting
his American Hockey League chances on hold but drastically
increasing the Komets' championship hopes.
“I was in a situation where I'm going to be happy coming back
to Fort Wayne,” Syroczynski said. “I have a chance to
win a championship.”
