Bahen Hangs Up Skates
Chris Bahen, a former Clarkson standout, has announced his retirement from hockey, according to Christian Winkler of EHC München (Germany). Bahen spent the past three seasons with EHC München.
Bahen, a native of Markham, Ontario, competed in 32 regular-season games this past season, compiling two goals and 16 assists. In 12 playoff contests, Bahen scored three times and racked up four assists. During his three-year with EHC München, Bahen played in 131 regular-season contests, amassing 16 goals and 55 assists for 71 points.
"It surprised me, but I respect the decision because it is a decision for the family and I take my hat off,” said Christian Winkler of EHC München. “Chris has always given everything for three years and the EHC worn in the heart. We wish him all the best for the future.”
Prior to joining EHC München, Bahen spent one season (2006-07) with Bolzano (Italy) and three years (2003-06) with Landshut (Germany).
In four campaigns in Potsdam, New York, Bahen scored 16 goals and set up 37 tallies while competing in 139 games with the Golden Knights.
