Sullivan Returns to Deggendorf
The Deggendorf Fire (Germany) announced Friday the signing of former Clarkson standout Mike Sullivan for the 2010-11 season. The signing marks a return to Deggendorf for the Stouffville, Ontario native, who spent part of the 2008-09 campaign with the Fire.
Sullivan competed for Lausitzer Füchse in 2009-10. In 49 regular-season games, he compiled 10 goals and 18 assists. Sullivan also appeared in seven playoff games.
In 2008-09, Sullivan split time between Deggendorf and Lausitzer
Füchse. Competing with Deggendorf, Sullivan amassed 52 points,
including 20 goals, in 43 games. On January 29, 2009, Sullivan
joined Lausitzer Füchse. He competed in five regular-season
games, compiling two assists. Sullivan played in six playoff games,
scoring two goals and adding one assist.
In 2007-08, his initial professional season, Sullivan posted 13
goals and nine assists in 64 contests with the Idaho Steelheads of
the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
Sullivan, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the eighth
round (244th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, completed four
years at Clarkson. The Golden Knights captured the ECAC Hockey
Championship in 2006-07 and Sullivan received the Unsung Hero
Award. His collegiate career statistics include scoring 79 points
(39g-40a) in 152 games.
