KETTERING — Chris Lipsett had a plan. When the newest Dayton Gem was growing up in Ottawa, Ontario, he figured he was a decent enough hockey player to land a college scholarship and play pro for a few years.
Fourteen seasons and numerous stops later, the 36-year-old isn’t done.
“If I was a smarter guy, I would have moved on to another career by now, but I just love the game. I love to play and I can’t really get it out of me,” said Lipsett, who was introduced by the Gems on Thursday during a press conference at Kettering Medical Center.
