Willie Mitchell, proud son of Vancouver Island, knows his Canuck
history so he was just kidding (we think) with members of the
fourth estate Wednesday when he posed a question.
"It's been a little while since the Canucks have gone to the
conference final, hasn't it?" Mitchell asked, grinning his toothy
grin.
As a matter of fact, yes. Fifteen years if you want the gory
details. Nineteen ninety-four. The Canucks ousted the Dallas Stars
in the second round and then dispatched the Toronto Maple Leafs in
the Western Conference final.
