The old Flame can still get the job done. No, no, not Theoren
Fleury. Craig Conroy, the 38-year-old who re-inherited the
greybeard title after the 41-year-old Fleury was released
Friday.
"Yeah, the guys were kidding me about that," grinned the
effervescent centre, following a starry outing in the faceoff
circle against the Vancouver Canucks as the Flames wrapped up the
pre-season with a so-so performance.
"I don't feel like that (oldest) though. These guys make me stay
young . . . I think you can always have one old guy on the team
though, can't you?"
