Everblades Acquire Guthrie

ESTERO, FL -- Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced today that the rights to forward Simon Ferguson have been traded to the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for right winger Shea Guthrie, a former Clarkson standout.

"He's a goal scorer," Cameron said of Guthrie. "He's an offensive player; he'll be here tonight and on the ice tomorrow night."

Guthrie joins the Everblades immediately with hopes of bolstering the Florida offense that has been hindered by call ups and injuries. The six foot 205 lb. winger from Almonte, ON has tallied 7 goals and 6 assists over 22 games with the Grizzlies so far this season.
