TROY — Nick Dodge earlier this week was made part of the
Albany River Rats' luxury fleet, and the motorcade helped the
American Hockey League team pass a couple of road tests.
Dodge, the Rats' top-scoring rookie, was back centering a line
with Michael Ryan and Jakub Petruzalek, both of whom returned
Monday from stints with the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes. Dodge had
two goals in both of the Rats' games — Tuesday against
Portland in Buffalo, Wednesday at Binghamton — as Albany
extended its winning streak to four.
"Their talent is pretty impressive," said Dodge, who now has 9
goals and 18 assists. "Their speed and skill is at the top of this
league. I just try to keep pace with those guys."
