Cayer Changes Teams
The Hockey Club Amiens Somme (France) announced Wednesday the signing of former Clarkson standout David Cayer for the 2009-10 season. Cayer spent the 2008-09 campaign with Strasbourg (France).
The Longueuil, Quebec native joins les Gothiques after finishing as the second-leading scorer for Strasbourg. The former Golden Knights standout amassed 17 goals and 24 assists in 26 games in 2008-09. His goals and points total ranked second overall on the team, while he led the team in assists.
Competing in 145 contests in a four-year career at Clarkson (2004-08), Cayer registered 40 goals and 69 assists. His most productive offensive campaign was 2006-07 when he scored 11 goals and set up 26 tallies in 39 contests.
