Eventually, all of the most devoted professional sportsman will meet head on the athlete's undying conundrum: Aging never stops, and neither does the passion for the game.

The sight of a jet black hockey puck meeting the back of a pearly white nylon goal never gets old for Quad City Mallards forward Chris Lipsett. By himself, he has created that heart-stopping sight-to-behold 308 times in 761 professional games.

"If it got old, I'd be doing something else," said the 35-year-old veteran. "I love the game. I love to play. I love scoring. I love to win. That's the only reason I keep playing at my age and at this level. It's something I love to do and I can't get enough of it."
