It was just time, and time led him to the decision.
Jean Desrochers, former Quad City Mallards center, officially
retired from hockey Friday at the age of 29 after playing in the
first three games of the season during which he tallied two
assists. He was not with the team when it traveled to Bloomington
on Wednesday.
"At this point in my life, I'm 29, and I felt that it was time to
move on from hockey and get into business," he said. "Even though I
was there for a short time, I really enjoyed the organization and
the fans. It has nothing to do with that."
