Everblades Send Grenzy to Wheeling
ESTERO, FL -- Florida Everblades president and general manager
Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced the
they have traded the rights to defenseman Michael Grenzy to the
Wheeling Nailers for financial considerations. Terms of the
agreement were not disclosed.
Grenzy appeared in 33 games for the Everblades last season posting
three goals and five assists for eight points with 57 penalty
minutes. The Lockport, New York native played under Everblades head
coach Malcolm Cameron in his rookie season in 2007-08 with the
ECHL’s Texas Wildcatters. The big defenseman appeared in 61
games scoring a goal and nine points with 70 minutes in penalties
with Texas. Prior to his pro career, Grenzy spent four seasons at
college power house Clarkston from 2003-2007. In 125 games he
posted 11 markers, 41 assists for 52 points and 92 penalty minutes.
