POTSDAM — The Clarkson University men's hockey team is
feeling a bit better about itself as it prepares for its second
weekend of games against rival St. Lawrence University.
The rivals met in a pair of nonconference games on Jan. 10-11, but
will play each other in ECAC Hockey games this weekend. The opening
game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Appleton Arena and Saturday's 7 p.m.
game is at Cheel Arena.
Clarkson (7-14-5 overall, 5-7-2 conference) reached the low point
of its season after the first SLU weekend. The Saints (14-10-2,
6-6-2) routed Clarkson 5-1 in Appleton Arena on Jan. 10 and picked
up the weekend sweep with a 2-1 win the following afternoon in
Cheel Arena.
