Roll Optimistic About Tourney

POTSDAM -- Things perked up for Clarkson University men's hockey coach George Roll shortly after Sunday night's loss to Colgate University in Game 3 of an ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series at Cheel Arena.
After the game, Roll thought the season was over for his team, which has a 21-12-4 overall record and won the ECAC Hockey regular-season title with a 15-4-3 conference mark.
But once the NCAA tournament situation was outlined to Roll and he learned the Golden Knights stand in a good position to make the 16-team field, his outlook changed from sadness to focusing on an upcoming game.
