Team Notes: Clarkson Opens Home Schedule

The 2008-09 season opener at Cheel Arena promises to be a
challenging start to the home campaign for the Clarkson University
Hockey team as the Golden Knights host the top-rated Colorado
College Tigers in a two-game series to highlight Parents’
Weekend at the University.
Guided by sixth-year head coach George Roll, associate coach Greg
Drechsel and assistant coach Jean-Francois Houle, the Green and
Gold will play nine of their next 11 games in Potsdam. Clarkson
owns a 204-74-27 all-time record at Cheel Arena, including a 16-3-1
mark in 2007-08.
Led by senior co-captains Tyrell Mason (Dawson Creek, BC) and Phil
Paquet (Quebec City, QUE), Clarkson is ranked 19th in the country
in the latest USCHO.com/CBS College Sports and USA Today/USA Hockey
Magazine national Division I polls.
