Julien Cayer, a 6-3, 185-pound left wing who played the past two seasons at Northwood Prep, also went in the fifth round, chosen by Detroit with the 151st selection.
A 5-10, 175-pound center, Nick Tremblay, a top offensive force for the Smiths Falls Bears, was selected by Boston in the sixth round with the 173rd pick.
Paul Karpowich, a 6-2, 185-pound starter for the Wellington Dukes, is the first goaltender for Clarkson to be drafted since Jason Currie in 1991. He went in the seventh round with the 185th selection to St. Louis.
