First-Place Clarkson Remains Power Hungry

POTSDAM -- When Clarkson University won its first ECAC Hockey Tournament title since 1999 last season almost everyone in Albany wanted to talk to the team about its power play.
The Golden Knights finished with 52 power-play goals a year ago, converting on 22 percent of their chances en route to a 25-9-5 overall record.
Clarkson (17-10-3 overall, 12-4-2 ECAC Hockey) is actually doing better in the conference standings this year, but the power play is a subject that has made players, coaches and fans cringe.
