Clitsome Earns CHN Accolades
POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Clarkson senior defenseman Grant Clitsome, an ECAC Hockey first-team all-league defenseman, has been honored by the College Hockey News, garnering All-CHN Second-Team honors for 2007-08, the outlet announced Wednesday. Voting for the teams was conducted by a panel of writers from the online magazine.
A native of Gloucester, Ontario, Clitsome amassed 22 points in 39 games for the Golden Knights. He tallied five goals, two via the power play and one short-handed.
Clitsome boasted the best plus/minus overall among all ECAC Hockey players at +23 for the regular season. He led the Clarkson defensemen in scoring with 15 points (4-11) in league play. He was a pivatol part of Clarkson's stingy defensive effort which ranked 3rd in the league.
