COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Head Coach Troy Mann has announced that former Clarkson forward Mac Faulkner has agreed to terms for the 2007-08 season. Faulkner's signing brings back the top three leading scorers from last year's team. He finished third behind Jeff Miles and Brad Ralph.

The 24-year-old King City, Ontario native notched 17 goals, 33 assists for 50 points in 70 games for the Inferno last season. In 2005-06, he played his rookie season with the Long Beach Ice Dogs contributing 11 goals, 20 assists for 31 points in 59 games. Faulkner, 6'1", 205 lbs., played his collegiate career from 2001-2005 with Clarkson. He played 141 games, scored 33 goals, 50 assists and had 160 penalty minutes. During his junior year, he was Clarkson's leading scorer with 43 points in 40 games.

"Mac Faulkner is a type of player every coach would love to have on their team. Mac's work ethic and willingness to pay the price is as strong as any player I been associated with," coach Troy Mann said. "In addition, he is coming off a very productive season offensively. I expect Mac to continue to be a leader and provide solid two way play for us in 07-08."
