Volpatti Rocks

The Canucks best weapon Thursday was Aaron Volpatti, which goes a long way in explaining why they couldn't score.
Volpatti made the Canucks biggest statement of the night. He crushed two San Jose Sharks, knocking them out of the game. One with a violent head-on collision, another with a punch that would make Batman blush. His one-punch knockout of Brad Winchester was something else. Exciting enough to make hockey's anti-violence crusaders rethink things for a minute or two.
Was it enough toughness flexing to get him on the team? He did need something after Mike Duco's scene-stealing performance earlier in the preseason. Volpatti needed a moment. He got two.
