Brendan Whittet’s Brown men are in a rough stretch, having gone 2-7-1 since upsetting Yale on Jan. 16.
No game left a more bitter taste than Tuesday night’s 2-1 home loss to Harvard. Brown outshot the Crimson 20-1 in the third period, but could not punch the tying goal past Harvard goalie Ryan Carroll.
“It was frustrating because we outplayed them in every facet of the game except the scoreboard, but the scoreboard’s the thing that counts at the end of the game. ... Sometimes it just doesn’t bounce right,’’ Whittet said.
