Muncy Makes Way to Germany
ESV Buchloe (Germany) announced Tuesday the signing of former Brown standout Sean Muncy for the 2011-12 season.
Muncy was on five different rosters during the 2010-11 season including the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL). He played in a total of 67 games, scoring 16 goals and 22 assists. Muncy played in 37 games with Rio Grande, accumulating 31 points, including 14 goals. He registered seven points, including two goals, in 23 game with Texas. He also played with Houston of the American Hockey League (AHL), and Missouri and Arizona of the CHL.
"I've only heard good things about Buchloe and am very excited about the commitment to the Pirates," said Muncy. "I want to contribute for a successful season for the team."
The Chesterfield, Missouri native, played at Brown from 2006 through 2009. He competed in 104 games, scoring 11 goals and assisting on 18 tallies. Muncy’s top offensive campaign came in 2006-07 when he scored eight goals and set up nine goals in 32 games.
