Missouri Acquires Muncy
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - Missouri Mavericks' Head Coach Scott Hillman announced Wednesday the Central Hockey League (CHL) club has acquired the rights to former Brown forward Sean Muncy from the Arizona Sundogs.
Muncy was on five different rosters during the 2010-11 season including the Mavericks. Missouri acquired Muncy in a trade with Rio Grande Valley in exchange for defenseman Dominic D'Amour and he played in six games with the Mavericks. The Chesterfield, Missouri native was then traded by the Mavericks to the Texas Brahmas in exchange for forward Todd Griffith and defenseman Steven Later. He played in 23 games for the Brahmas before being waived and picked up by the Arizona Sundogs at the end of the season. In total, the 6-foot, 193-pound forward has played in 128 games and scored 85 points (30-55-85) in two seasons.
