Prough Earns Weekly Honor

PRINCETON, N.J. - Trenton Devils forward Jeff Prough, a former Brown standout, is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 28-April 2.

The 24-year old scored four goals, added two assists and was +2 as the Devils ended the season with a 2-1-0 record last week.

Prough opened the week with a goal in a 5-4 win against Elmira on Wednesday and had a three-point game (2g-1a) in a 6-3 loss to Reading on Friday. He ended the week with a goal and an assist ina 5-2 victory at Reading on Saturday.

A native of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Prough ranked second on the Devils this season with 25 goals while his 42 points were third on the squad. He also scored five points (1g-4a) in 16 American Hockey League games with Albany.

Prough has 167 points (88g-79a) in 186 career ECHL games with Florida, Gwinnett and Trenton.

On behalf of Jeff Prough a case of pucks will be donated to a Trenton youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 23,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
