Reading Inks Timberlake

READING, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has signed former Brown forward Devin Timberlake to an ECHL contract.

Last season, Timberlake (6’2/206) (25), who hails from Port Alberni, British Columbia, scored five goals and was tied for the team lead with twenty assists (twenty-five points) in thirty-seven games for Brown University. After the conclusion of his senior season at Brown, Timberlake joined the Providence Bruins last spring and scored a goal in each of his first two games as a pro with the P-Bruins (2g-0a=2pts in 6 games). Timberlake, who served as the team captain during his junior and senior seasons at Brown, attended training camp this season with the P-Bruins and the Alaska Aces of the ECHL, who released him last week. A four-time member of the All-ECAC Hockey Academic Team, Timberlake scored a total of sixty-one points (19g-42a) in 110 games during his time at Brown.
